  • Material design and synthesis using high-throughput experimentation

For more information on our research, please visit our Homepage – HIPOLE Jena.

Your Tasks

  • Synthesis of polymers and materials using automated / robotic synthesis platforms for applications in energy storage and conversion devices.
  • Establishment of online and inline characterization of materials and polymers in terms of chemical structure (e.g., NMR, IR, SEC) and functional properties (e.g., cyclovoltammetry).
  • Development of feedback-driven synthesis including the design of self-driving labs for the autonomous design of new polymers and materials for energy storage and conversion.
  • Summary, presentation, and publication of the results (in English).

Your Profile

  • PhD in polymer chemistry, automated chemistry, robot-assisted chemistry, electrochemistry, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and/or robot-based/automated chemistry
