As part of the YouTube lecture series Voices for Climate, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Seiffert and Prof. Dr. Ulrich S. Schubert delivered a live lecture addressing the climate crisis on 19 January 2026.

Starting from a chemical perspective, the talk explores the transformation towards climate neutrality across multiple dimensions — technical, economic, political, societal, and individual. In addition to scientific aspects, the speakers reflect on personal transformations and their relevance in the broader context of the climate crisis.

During his lecture, Prof. Dr. Ulrich S. Schubert also referred to the role of HIPOLE Jena in the context of climate change and the transition towards climate neutrality.
