Carlyn Danese spent three months at HIPOLE Jena through the DAAD RISE program, working in the research group of Prof. Martin Oschatz on nitrogen rich polymer carbon composites for CO2 utilisation. Her main task focused on functionalizing carbon surfaces by polymer grafting of low molecular weight polyethylenimine in collaboration with our PhD student Kai Hetze. Carlyn now returns to her home institution, Mount Holyoke College.
It was a pleasure hosting you in Jena, Carlyn! We wish you every success with your future studies and PhD applications — we are confident you will achieve great things and hope that our paths will cross again soon!
