Student Interns at HIPOLE Jena

16.07.2026 1 min read

HIPOLE Jena had the pleasure of welcoming the student interns Nele and Kevin. During their internship, they gained exciting insights into research activities and everyday laboratory work.

As part of various hands-on experiments, they had the opportunity to actively participate and gain their first practical laboratory experience. These activities included the determination of caffeine in beverages as well as battery and redox experiments using lemon and vinegar batteries.

Creative and interactive activities were also part of the program, including liquid nitrogen ice cream, molecular spheres made from sodium alginate, and dyeing fabric bags with onion-based natural dyes.

We would like to thank Nele and Kevin for their interest and motivation and hope they enjoyed experimenting just as much as we enjoyed having them with us!
