For our research on polymer-based thin-film and redox flow batteries, we manufacture various types of batteries and utilize modern characterization techniques.
Coin Cells
An electric coin cell crimper is used to fabricate coin cell batteries.
Pouch-Cells
HIPOLE Jena is working on the fabrication of pouch cell batteries. The assembly process includes the use of a vacuum sealer, a heating sealer, and an ultrasonic welder.
Battery cycler
A battery cycler is used to characterize new polymer-based electrodes and electrolyte materials with regard to their charge/discharge behavior in in coin, Swagelok®, and pouch cells.
Potentiostat
For our battery research, a multi-channel potentiostat/galvanostat is used to characterize new polymer-based electrodes and electrolyte materials in redox flow, coin, Swagelok®, and pouch cells.
