Hannover Messe 2025: Innovation, Insight, and Inspiration

07.04.2025 1 min read

We’ve just wrapped up an exciting and inspiring week at Hannover Messe 2025, where our team had the chance to showcase our latest advancements in energy storage technologies.

Dr. Rodrigo Herran shared insights into the redox-flow batteries and other innovative energy storage devices on display. The response from visitors was incredibly positive, with engaging questions ranging from commercial readiness and comparisons with current market solutions, to inquiries about potential startup ventures.

Investors and suppliers showed a particular interest in the synergy between redox-flow batteries and green energy integration. It was clear that the push toward sustainability is not only shared, but accelerating across the industry.

We were also glad to welcome many students and young professionals, eager to learn about our work and the research environment at HIPOLE Jena. The conversations touched on the future of sustainable tech, and it was energizing to see so much curiosity and ambition.

Meanwhile, Kai Hetze captured some personal impressions from the fair:

“Even though I attended last year, the scale of Hannover Messe is still overwhelming. On Wednesday, we had a fantastic networking dinner at the LEG Thüringen, joined by representatives from science, industry, and even the Thuringian Minister of Economy. Yesterday, we explored the halls, snapped a group photo in the beautiful park area, and wrapped up the day at the massive Bosch networking event near the LEG booth.”

One notable trend this year: solid-state batteries captured the attention of both industry professionals and private visitors, signaling the growing momentum in next-gen energy storage.

Overall, Hannover Messe 2025 has been a rich, recommendable experience — not only a platform for presenting our work but a meeting point for ideas, connections, and shared goals.
