Prof. Dr. Martin Keller, the new President of the Helmholtz Association, gained further insight into the research at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) on Monday as part of the Center Tour. This time, the visit took place at the Wannsee site. During the tour, HIPOLE Jena introduced its work as part of HZB. The live session connected the Wannsee site in Berlin with the laboratories in Jena.
On site in Berlin, Dr. Martin Hager and Maria Haupt joined the exchange and took the opportunity to personally invite President Keller to visit Jena.
The discussion focused on the future potential of redox flow batteries and other innovative energy storage solutions, with contributions from Prof. Dr. Ulrich S. Schubert, Prof. Dr. Bernd Rech, and Prof. Dr. Martin Keller. The exchange highlighted their relevance in addressing current energy and climate challenges in Germany.
Martin Keller was accompanied by Dr. Egbert Jolie (Chief Research Manager Helmholtz Energy), Dr. Ilja Bohnet (Chief Research Manager Helmholtz Matter), Dr. Christine Mieck (Chief Research Manager Helmholtz Information), and Margaret Melter (Social Media Manager).
We would like to thank everyone involved for the open and constructive exchange and would be delighted to welcome President Keller to Jena in person.
